Truck Driver

Foamex Victoria Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our warehousing, storage and distribution operations in Wodonga, VIC. This is a full-time position based on-site in our facility. As a Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for reliability and service excellence within the warehousing and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations
• Planning and optimising routes to ensure timely delivery whilst adhering to all traffic regulations and safety requirements
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements
• Loading, securing and unloading cargo in accordance with safety protocols and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, distances travelled, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues
• Complying with all relevant legislation, including road safety laws, weight restrictions and driving hour regulations
• Reporting any accidents, damage or safety concerns promptly to management
• Contributing to a safe and professional working environment through adherence to company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• A valid Medium Rigid (MR) licence, or equivalent, appropriate for the vehicles operated
• Proven experience as a professional truck driver in warehousing, storage or distribution operations
• A strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to road safety and workplace health and safety standards
• Excellent knowledge of Victorian roads and familiarity with the local area surrounding Wodonga
• The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise deliveries to meet schedules
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and colleagues
• Physical capability to perform loading and unloading tasks, including handling of goods
• A current or eligible Working with Children Check (if transporting goods to locations requiring access)
• Proficiency with basic vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify and report mechanical issues
• A professional approach to customer service and company representation
