Truck Driver

Dannenberg Civil is seeking a Truck Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands‑on role within the construction and plant & machinery operations sector, based in Beresfield NSW 2322. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial part in the movement of materials, equipment and supplies across our job sites and operations.

Your reliable transportation and safe handling of loads will directly contribute to the smooth running of our construction projects and the timely delivery of services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment and plant machinery to and from construction sites
• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working order
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies whilst operating vehicles
• Load and unload materials and equipment securely, ensuring loads are properly balanced and restrained
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage and fuel consumption
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any defects or damage immediately
• Meet strict timelines and delivery schedules to support project deadlines

What we’re looking for

• A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence, or equivalent, with a clean driving record
• Proven experience operating trucks in construction or related industries
• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and compliance with transport regulations
• The ability to operate safely in construction environments and around heavy machinery
• Physical fitness to load and unload materials and perform manual tasks as required
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Reliability and punctuality in meeting delivery schedules
• A willingness to work flexible hours as required by the casual nature of the role
