Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HR Truck Driver to join our growing team in Townsville. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while representing Agile Transport Services with professionalism and care.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HR vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with company and legal standards
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and ensure vehicles are clean and roadworthy
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
• Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment
• Complete and submit delivery paperwork, run sheets, and digital logs accurately
• Adhere to fatigue management, safety, and traffic regulations at all times
• Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, clients, and team members
• Report incidents, delays, or service issues promptly

About you

• Valid Australian HR driver's licence (held for at least 1 year)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience driving heavy rigid trucks
• Clean driving record and strong understanding of road transport regulations
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual loading and unloading
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor maintenance checks
• Knowledge of Townsville and surrounding delivery areas (desirable)
• Experience using GPS and route planning software (desirable)
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols (desirable)
