Job Description Traveling Superintendent Large-Scale Commercial Projects | Nationwide Travel A well-established and growing General Contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on large, ground-up commercial construction projects across the U.S. This is a strong opportunity to join a respected builder with a solid backlog, diverse commercial work, and long-term growth potential. Position Overview The Traveling Superintendent will serve as the on-site leader from mobilization through completion, driving schedule, safety, quality, and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics Develop and maintain master schedules and 2-week look-aheads Enforce OSHA and company safety standards Conduct site meetings and coordinate inspections Ensure work meets plans, specs, and quality expectations Partner with Project Managers to deliver on time and on budget Project Experience Preferred Ground-up commercial developments Industrial and distribution facilities Healthcare or education (K-12/higher ed) Large-scale tenant improvements Qualifications 5 years as a Superintendent on commercial projects Experience running large, complex ground-up builds Strong scheduling and leadership skills Willingness to travel nationwide for project assignments OSHA 30 preferred Proficiency with construction software (Procore a plus) What’s Offered Competitive compensation Travel accommodations and per diem Strong pipeline of work Long-term career growth with a stable contractor If you are a driven field leader who enjoys managing complex projects and traveling for impactful builds, this could be the right next step.
