A Special Education Teacher position is available at a school located in Oakland, CA. This role requires a dedicated educator skilled in delivering tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs. Candidates must be prepared to travel between school sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and staff. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student success. Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements related to special education. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching credential with a specialization in special education.
Experience working with students with various disabilities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive learning environment.
