Role:Transmission Components Structures Engineer - Montréal area, QC Location: Montréal, QC (Longueuil) Term: Contract. 12 months. Type: On-site. 5 days per week. Rate: Hourly Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Transmission Components Structures Engineer to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, QC. This role is 5x week onsite. In this role, you will assess the durability and integrity of internal transmission parts, solve complex mechanical design issues on in‑service engines, and collaborate with specialists to validate designs through analysis and testing. You’ll also document and communicate results clearly to support engineering decisions. Key Responsibilities Perform thermal, stress, and fatigue analyses on transmission components (gearboxes, shafts, bearings, seals, oil systems). Evaluate structural integrity and predict component fatigue life for existing and developing engine designs. Define and propose test plans to validate analytical models; review and follow up on test results.
Execute analytical work to resolve mechanical design issues on operational engines. Produce clear engineering reports and documentation to communicate analysis findings and recommendations. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong focus on solid mechanics, fatigue, and machine elements 4-7 years of professional experience, ideally in stress, structural, or mechanical analysis roles Nice to Have Skills & Experience Master's degree Bilingual French/English Experience in aerospace environments Experience with the following tools: CATIA, Ansys, AVL Simulation Suite, MATLAB, Python
