About the Role
We are currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and reporting under IFRS. We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in our general ledger, month-end close, and ERP journey.
You will support core accounting activities and IFRS-compliant reporting for our Irish entity, working directly within Business Central.
Key responsibilities:
Posting and reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations in Business Central
Owning key GL control accounts and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting month end and year end close
Assisting with VAT, statutory filings, and audit schedules
Helping produce monthly management accounts and operational KPIs
Contributing to the ongoing Business Central implementation (testing, data validation, SOP’s)
About You:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related (or currently pursuing)
Planning to study ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent
Strong Excel skills; interest in ERP systems (Business Central a plus)
Accurate, organised, and comfortable with month end deadlines
Interested in manufacturing/FMCG and how finance supports operations
