Traffic Systems Engineering Technologist Edmonton

Become an integral part of Edmonton's traffic safety team as an Engineering Technologist II. This role involves hands-on fieldwork and design planning to optimize mobility and safety. In the City of Edmonton, the Engineering Technologist II will perform assessments on applications for parking zones and prepare detailed traffic control plans.

Your responsibilities will include conducting field data collection and analyzing data to recommend key improvements. With at least five years of relevant experience, you'll work closely with engineering design plans from consultants to ensure safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate technical applications for parking and loading zones • Develop traffic control plans and parking signage • Carry out fieldwork for comprehensive data collection • Analyze collected data for traffic safety recommendations • Review and assess engineering plans from consulting firms Requirements: • Two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience required • Eligible for ASET membership as CET • Expertise in AutoCAD and traffic design guides • Current Alberta Class 5 driver’s license Leverage your expertise to enhance the safety of Edmonton's transportation systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
