Test Engineer

Overview RAN Test Engineer responsible for validating radio access network performance and functionality across 4G and 5G environments, ensuring high-quality network deployment and optimisation. Key Responsibilities Execute RAN testing (functional, performance, regression, and interoperability) Conduct field and lab testing, including drive and indoor testing Validate KPIs (throughput, latency, handovers, call success rates) Analyse logs and troubleshoot issues across RAN nodes (eNodeB/gNodeB) Support network rollouts, upgrades, and optimisation activities Collaborate with RF, core, and transmission teams Prepare test reports and provide recommendations Requirements Experience in RAN testing for 4G/LTE and 5G NR Understanding of radio protocols and procedures (RRC, MAC, PHY basics) Familiarity with tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar Knowledge of KPIs and network performance metrics Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
