Christies Beach High School operates a middle school learning community based on teams of teachers working together to co-design interdisciplinary learning. We are seeking a passionate Middle Years teacher to join our dynamic Year 7 team. Each teacher is paired with a colleague to cover the learning areas of Mathematics, English, Science and HASS in a MESH model.
There is a strong focus on wellbeing and all teachers design and teach a learning program addressing a range of wellbeing matters.
Current Primary School teachers with middle schooling experience are encouraged to apply with the knowledge you will be deployed to this area of the school.
We are a complex school with a community of richly diverse learners. All staff must have a commitment to differentiated learning design, positive relationships with all students and awareness of trauma informed practice initiatives and an ultimate goal to stimulate high achievement for all learners.

What You Will Need
- Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues.
Eligible permanent metropolitan teachers can apply for this temporary vacancy if they:
- are a permanent metropolitan teacher
- are not in their first year of permanency
- are not currently undergoing performance management
