Technician II - Electronics

We are seeking a skilled Technician II – Electronics to support the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems used in automotive, EV, industrial, and defense applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in wiring harness assembly, electronic subsystem integration, electrical testing, and prototype development, with the ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and integration of electrical and electronic systems, subassemblies, and wiring harnesses.
• Build and install power and signal harnesses as per engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Crimp, terminate, solder, splice, and assemble connectors, cables, and electronic components.
• Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, and functional testing of harnesses and electrical systems.
• Assist in installation and integration of:
• Battery systems
• Power Distribution Units (PDU)
• DC-DC converters
• Control units and sensors
• Communication modules
• Read and interpret:
• Electrical schematics
• Wiring diagrams
• Harness drawings
• Assembly instructions
• Support prototype builds, system integration, and vehicle-level electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and diagnostic tools.
• Verify proper routing, protection, and securing of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Maintain manufacturing and test records in accordance with quality procedures.
• Support environmental, functional, and validation testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ESD procedures.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Hands-on experience in electronics assembly and electrical wiring.
• Knowledge of:
• Wiring harness assembly and installation
• Connector termination and crimping techniques
• Soldering and rework practices
• High-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems
• Ability to use electrical test equipment such as:
• Digital multimeters
• Oscilloscopes
• Power supplies
• Continuity and insulation testers
• Familiarity with communication interfaces such as:
• CAN Bus
• RS-232/RS-485
• Ethernet (basic understanding preferred)
• Experience with battery-powered or EV systems is desirable.
• Understanding of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to identify and rectify wiring and assembly defects.

Education & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / Associate Degree in:
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechatronics
• Instrumentation or related discipline
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in electronics assembly, testing, or vehicle electrical integration.
• Experience in automotive, EV, aerospace, defense, industrial automation, or related industries preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in prototype vehicle or equipment builds.
• Familiarity with automotive or military-grade connectors and wiring practices.
• Certification in IPC soldering standards (preferred).
• Experience with harness manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Basic understanding of electrical architecture and system integration.
