Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Technical Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at Anton Paar Canada for our Business Unit Measurement Product Lines in the Atlantic Provinces. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our extensive portfolio of high‑quality laboratory instruments and process measurement solutions to customers in your assigned territory. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored solutions that address their specific challenges.
Core Responsibilities Develop market and execute sale strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets for our Business Unit Measurement Product line (Density meters, Viscometers, etc.). Identify and engage with potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals. Conduct product demonstrations (as per Anton Paar’s guidelines) and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
Understand customers’ needs and provide customized solutions by effectively positioning our products/services. Install and provide training to the customers and users of our instruments. Collaborate with the sales team and other managers to deliver comprehensive customer proposals and quotations.
Support sales projects from prospecting to after sales support. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for cross‑selling. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute to the development of marketing materials, product positioning, and sales collateral. Maintain accurate sales records, including customer information, sales activities, and pipelines, using our CRM system. Qualifications Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Engineering, Materials, Physics, Life Sciences) or equivalent experience.
Experience in technical sales, or experience in laboratory‑related analytic instruments or scientific equipment. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Authorization to work in Canada.
Ability to travel internationally for training (mainly Europe and US). Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in using sales analytics tools. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand and articulate complex scientific concepts and analytical techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively engage with customers at all levels. Strong sales acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to close deals effectively. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and results‑driven mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team.
