Essential Criteria

• 3rd level qualification in relevant discipline, or equivalent
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Technical and quality management experience
• Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, Food legislation and Food Hygiene
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Team leadership qualities

Desirable Criteria

• Chilled food and high- risk experience.
• Health and safety experience.

Job Role

At this important stage of its development, the company requires an influential Technical Manager to work closely with the Managing Director to maintain and develop the Technical and Quality Department.

Leadership ability, strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills, powers of persuasion and a practical, hands on self-motivated approach, and the ability to facilitate change and drive multiple initiatives, will be weighted as highly as technical competence.

Priority areas of responsibility will include the following:

1. Maintaining current accreditations BRC and customer specific.

2.Day to day management of GMP and quality.

3.Communication with customers and suppliers regarding product development and specifications.

4. Continuous improvement of standards and best practice.

5. Management and leadership.
