About the Role
HCLTech is seeking an experienced Technical Lead โ Front-End (Angular) to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable, and responsive web applications for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will drive front-end architecture decisions, ensure technical excellence, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure.
This role requires strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, modern web technologies, and Azure-integrated applications, along with leadership capabilities to mentor developers and support Agile delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end front-end development using Angular and TypeScript.
- Design and develop scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications.
- Build reusable UI components and implement modern responsive designs.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs hosted on Azure App Services and Azure Functions.
- Implement authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Collaborate with back-end developers, DevOps engineers, and UX/UI teams.
- Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Azure Pipelines.
- Enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of experience in front-end development, with strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript.
- Proven experience leading front-end development initiatives and mentoring development teams in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications.
- Strong experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and cloud-based services.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Static Web Apps.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Azure Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, code quality, testing, and version control using Git.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Next.js, Docker, and modern cloud-native architectures is an advantage.
