Role Overview We're looking for a Technical Systems Analyst to join our growing Product and Technology function here at Albany Beck. This role will act as the bridge between business users and technology teams, supporting a range of applications used by Exposure Management and Underwriting teams. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys analysing systems, solving problems, improving processes and working closely with stakeholders to deliver tangible business value.
You'll play a key role in supporting critical applications, identifying opportunities for automation and driving operational efficiency across the function. The role offers a unique opportunity to become a subject matter expert for business-critical systems while contributing to a wider product-led transformation programme . Key Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between Exposure Management stakeholders and Technology teams.
Analyse existing systems, processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Gather, document and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Support and maintain business-critical applications, troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolutions.
Work closely with Engineers, Architects and QA teams to deliver system enhancements and improvements. Analyse data and system performance to support operational decision-making. Create and maintain system documentation, process maps and knowledge repositories.
Drive operational efficiency through process optimisation and automation initiatives. Support the ongoing development of a product-centric technology operating model. Build strong relationships with business users and provide day-to-day support across the application landscape .
Key Experience Experience working as a Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Application Analyst or similar role. Strong SQL skills with experience analysing and manipulating data. Experience using Python, VBA or similar technologies for automation and process improvement.
Experience supporting and improving business-critical applications. Strong requirements gathering, systems analysis and problem-solving capabilities. Experience working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Experience Exposure Management, Catastrophe Modelling or Underwriting domain knowledge.
Experience within the London Market insurance sector. Knowledge of modelling platforms such as RiskLink, Risk Modeler or similar tools. Experience working within Agile or product-led delivery environments.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Confluence.
