Team Lead, AM

Overview

As Warehouse Team Leader, you will oversee a section of the warehouse on the AM shift, driving performance, efficiency and safety. You will lead a team of operatives, coordinating workloads and monitoring KPIs to meet targets in a fast-paced environment. You’ll train new operatives, manage inventory records, and ensure accurate stock movement.

You will act as a key contact for customers, suppliers and transport partners, delivering reliable service. This role sits within a global logistics leader that supports growth and development.

• Manage and motivate the team to meet KPIs and deadlines
• Train new operatives and support ongoing development
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock movement records
• Ensure health and safety compliance and foster a safe working culture
• Produce reports, assist with stock takes, and plan capacity
• Act as a key contact for customers, suppliers, and transport partners, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery

• Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role
• Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop others
• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
• Proactive approach with confidence in decision making
• Good IT knowledge, including spreadsheets and warehouse systems
• Solid understanding of health and safety requirements
• Knowledge of lean techniques would be an advantage
