The School

Kojonup District High School (KDHS) is a Kindergarten to Year 10 school located in a calm and welcoming rural setting, offering well-resourced learning environments where every child is nurtured, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. The Role

KDHS is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Primary Teacher - Kindergarten. The successful applicant should possess a strong understanding of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, including the Guiding Principles, Learning and Development Areas, and the Kindergarten Context for Learning. They will ideally have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and be skilled in designing engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's holistic development and readiness for future learning.

We are seeking an educator who recognises the vital role of relationships, play, and intentional teaching in the early years. The successful applicant would create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that responds to the developmental needs, interests, and strengths of young children. They should possess highly effective teaching practices, a commitment to reflective practice, and a genuine desire to continually improve their professional knowledge and skills.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
