Reed Technology is working with an established institution based in East Lothian, currently hiring an experienced Systems & Data Analyst to take ownership of HR/Payroll and Finance system improvements, reporting, and day-to-day support. This new role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, configuring systems, and driving meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities: Lead on HR/Payroll and Financial systems configuration, automations, improvements, and monthly data preparation. Support maintenance of staffing data within systems. Maintain finance system structures (e.g., chart of accounts, user setups).
Manage system queries and provide end-user support. Build and enhance reports across HR and Finance systems. Test and implement system updates, enhancements and configuration changes.
Improve system functionality and data quality across both platforms. Create documentation and support user training when needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience supporting and developing HR/Payroll and/or Finance systems.
Strong understanding of finance, payroll and HR processes. Confident in building reports and improving workflows. Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communicator able to explain technical issues clearly. Able to manage priorities and work independently. Desirable: Experience with Unit4, iTrent, Business Objects, Power BI or Proactis.
