Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a growing hospitality and leisure business based in Yorkshire. You'll sit at the intersection of systems ownership, data analytics and compliance - giving you real influence across the organisation and high visibility at senior leadership level. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll own the technology and data infrastructure that underpins operations across the group's leisure and hotel portfolio - from EPoS and booking platforms through to the SQL databases driving commercial decision-making.
It's a hands-on role with genuine strategic scope, and real opportunity to shape how the business uses data as it scales. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Systems Management Own and oversee all leisure and hotel systems including EPoS, booking platforms, payment processing and procurement tools - ensuring data integrity, uptime and effective use across the group Lead system integrations and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency Manage relationships with technology providers and system partners, ensuring performance and value Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption as the business grows Data & Analytics Own and maintain SQL databases processing all revenue streams across the group Build complex queries to generate commercial insights on churn, expansion revenue and customer movements for senior leadership Develop forecasting capabilities and financial reporting that drives strategic decisions Use data mining to identify trends, correlations and patterns within the customer base Monitor data quality and ensure all reporting is accurate, timely and accessible to non-technical stakeholders Lead future database enhancement projects as the business scales Compliance & Risk Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards - including health & safety, fire safety, building regulations and Food Hygiene Lead risk assessments, internal audits and incident management processes across the group Own all property insurance requirements, managing insurer relationships and ensuring obligations are met across all sites Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and documentation at all times WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Experience managing systems in a hospitality or leisure environment - EPoS platform knowledge is essential Strong SQL skills with a track record of writing complex queries and building reporting frameworks ideal. Demonstrable experience turning data into commercial insight for senior stakeholders Sound working knowledge of compliance requirements in a hospitality or leisure setting Confident communicator, comfortable operating across finance, operations and technology functions Self-starter who takes genuine ownership and thrives without close direction Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage Experience of system evaluation or implementation projects is desirable WHY THIS ROLE?
