Build good relationships with school staff Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution Active Administrative Services Credential Negative TB test administered within 60 days of hire Clearance of fingerprint background check Be available for assignments five days a week Be flexible and willing to work at all of SFUSD's High Potential Schools Essential Duties Administrator substitutes are an essential part of our district and are vital for our students' continued learning and support at our school sites. Through our substitute scheduling system, Red Rover, Administrator substitutes teachers cover Principal and Assistant Principal absences and vacancies in the classroom and are responsible for supporting school sites as a whole.
Provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of a school site to promote the academic development and achievement of students per the Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules and regulations, and applicable law. Essential duties listed but not limited to: School Management Maintain a safe and orderly school environment that meets the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of each student Maintains proper supervision of student activities, field trips, and other school-sponsored events Supervise the daily care and maintenance of the school building Instructional Leadership Conduct classroom walkthrough and discuss teaching practices with staff Maintain instructional practices consistent with district focus and building needs Climate of Care and Support Ensure that each student and staff member is treated fairly, respectfully, with an understanding of culture and context in interactions, decision making, and practice Engage in positive relationships with staff, families, and the community for the benefit of students Promote a school environment that is safe and conducive to instruction, cooperative curriculum development, and student learning Is responsible for all building-level communications and establishes open and effective two-way communication with various public and school communities and with the administration Ethics and Professionalism Act ethically and professionally in personal conduct, relationships with others, decision-making, stewardship of the school's resources, and all aspects of leadership Place children at the center of education and accept responsibility for each student's academic success and well-being Provide moral direction for the school and promote ethical and professional behavior among faculty and staff Interpret district Board policies, educational programs, and administrative practices to the public, parents, teachers, and students Ensure the adequate supervision and administration of the health, conduct, and attendance of students under his/her jurisdiction within the framework of the U.S. Constitution, applicable State laws, and Board of Education policy Adhere to all negotiated UASF Contract Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members assigned to the building.
As needed, evaluates licensed and non-licensed staff members assigned to the building Salary Administrator substitutes receive a starting daily rate of $549.23 for the initial five assignments and then are paid at a higher daily rate starting at assignment 6 and ongoing.
