KIT Recruitment has partnered with a growing organization in the food ingredients and agricultural commodities sector to hire a Supply Chain Operations Manager for their Mississauga, Ontario team. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing the full operational lifecycle β from inbound raw materials and production coordination through inventory management and outbound export delivery. Acting as the operational control tower across procurement, plant planning, inventory, and logistics, this role plays a critical part in ensuring customer commitments and commercial objectives are executed efficiently, strategically, and on time.
This position is ideal for an operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, execution-driven environments and has strong experience coordinating supply chain, production, and export logistics within food manufacturing or commodity-based industries. Supply Chain Operations Manager β Details: β’ Salary: $100,000β$140,000 annually (based on experience) β’ Location: Mississauga, ON β’ Schedule: Full-time, permanent β’ Travel: Approximately 15% travel across Western Canada β’ Benefits available following probationary period Supply Chain Operations Manager β Responsibilities: β’ Own end-to-end operational planning from inbound raw product through export delivery β’ Translate commercial contracts into executable operational plans β’ Coordinate procurement, production scheduling, inventory flow, and logistics capacity planning β’ Lead and manage the execution team across operations and logistics functions β’ Monitor operational execution against timelines, deliverables, and customer commitments β’ Identify operational bottlenecks and drive timely resolutions β’ Oversee production scheduling and operational flow across facilities β’ Maintain visibility and control of inventory across plants and warehouses β’ Support inventory optimization and working capital efficiency initiatives β’ Coordinate outbound shipment planning including container booking, freight scheduling, and export timelines β’ Ensure export documentation accuracy and shipment coordination β’ Monitor and mitigate operational and logistics risks β’ Collaborate closely with Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Quality, and Plant Operations teams β’ Ensure operational capabilities align with customer expectations and commercial objectives β’ Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations and supply chain functions Supply Chain Operations Manager β Qualifications: β’ 2+ years of experience in procurement and/or inbound logistics β’ 2+ years of experience within a food manufacturing environment β’ 2+ years of export logistics experience β’ Strong understanding of supply chain coordination, operational planning, and logistics execution β’ Experience within agriculture, food ingredients, or commodity industries considered a strong asset β’ Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment β’ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
