Job Description

Supply Chain Engineer II plays a critical role in supporting the development of next‑generation nuclear power systems while independently driving procurement excellence, supplier performance, and operational discipline. This position serves as a key technical authority across engineering and supply chain functions, ensuring that nuclear‑grade components are sourced, qualified, and delivered with uncompromising precision. This individual operates as a trusted partner to engineering, a protector of quality standards, and a driver of execution in high‑stakes, first‑of‑a‑kind (FOAK) nuclear projects.

Location: Flexible - role may be based in Camden, NJ; Covert, MI; East Pittsburgh, PA Primary Responsibilities Lead sourcing initiatives for critical SMR-300 components through competitive RFI/RFP/RFQ processes Provide technical input into cost estimation for complex manufactured components and bulk materials Support development of schedules for long‑lead nuclear equipment and supplier deliverables Assist in change impact assessments affecting suppliers and manufacturing scope Identify manufacturing, material availability, and capacity risks across the SMR supply chain Develop mitigation strategies for constrained nuclear‑qualified suppliers Support localization and supplier development initiatives to expand nuclear‑capable manufacturing capacity Participate in make/buy analyses and manufacturing readiness assessments Collaborate with design engineering to translate technical requirements into procurement specifications and supplier documentation packages Review and validate supplier technical submittals, drawings, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and manufacturing procedures Analyze equipment required in nuclear plants and establish commercial grade dedication that complies with design, technical specification, and code requirements Reconcile equipment documentation to the ASME Code Determine technical procurement requirements using the plant design basis to maintain configuration control Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related scientific discipline Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical problem‑solving Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems Experience in nuclear power plant systems or regulated industries (preferred) Familiarity with U.S. NRC regulation (preferred) Professional Engineering (PE) license or advanced engineering degree (MS) (preferred) Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks SRO license or PWR operational experience (preferred) Compensation Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $105,000.00-$125,000.00 Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Company‑paid life and AD&D insurance Employee Assistance Program Wellness programs and voluntary benefits Training and educational assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr
