Summer Economic Development Coordinator YWCA

Join YWCA Hamilton as the Summer Economic Development Coordinator to drive community innovation through hands-on programming and MakerSpace collaboration. Creativity is at the heart of this role. Working within the Centre of Innovation, you will spearhead daily operations of the MakerSpace, ensuring all equipment is functional and well-maintained.

This position combines educational program facilitation with technology use, allowing participants of all ages to thrive in a creative environment. Leadership in community events will also be vital for showcasing the MakerSpace's unique offerings. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate MakerSpace operations and equipment troubleshooting • Develop programs in collaboration with local educators • Engage in outreach activities to present MakerSpace to the community • Gather participant feedback for program enhancement • Follow Health and Safety procedures diligently Requirements: • Must be 15-30 years old upon starting the job • Currently enrolled in or completed relevant studies • Proficient in using MakerSpace tools and technology • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Valid police check and first aid certification required Drive creativity and inspire future innovators with YWCA Hamilton's focus on education and collaboration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
