Structures Engineer Department: Community Infrastructure Employment Type: Full Time Location: Phoenix, AZ Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 / year Description Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO. Core Responsibilities Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects Prepare designs, structural calculations, cost estimates, and specifications Work in cooperation with a multidisciplinary staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, state DOTs, and developers Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and other Bentley Engineering software Design and analyze concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, and booster station structures in support of municipal projects Design and analyze foundations, abutments, and various types of specialty components in support of federal projects Design and analyze retaining walls and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering Lead structures for smaller projects, coordinating staff and design efforts Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies B.S. degree in Civil Engineering 7 to 10 years of design experience Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required— Experience working in multidisciplinary teams a plus Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus Established relationships with local clients (Department of Transportation) a plus Solid understanding of vertical structure projects and multiple types of construction Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Generous paid time off 401(k): 50% match of contribution up to 6% Professional development opportunities including in-house training Paid professional organization membership and professional licensure For more information, visit our website at www.horrocks.com Equal Opportunity Employer including disability and protected veteran status #J-18808-Ljbffr
