JOB DESCRIPTION: $80-$90/hour - REMOTE Across Canada & US - 12-18 Month Contract Essential Responsibilities Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents; prepare systems documentation. Lead and conduct design analyses, evaluations, and verifications for BWR structural systems. Apply engineering knowledge to solve complex design problems.

Develop drawings/specifications to ensure products meet engineering and quality requirements. Collaborate with product line and quality personnel for process approvals and non-conforming material disposition. Perform tasks in accordance with regulatory guides and industry standards (Systems, Equipment, and interfaces).

Deliver equipment packages and engineering documentation on time, meeting contract, business, and regulatory requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE MS or PhD in Civil Engineering Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy business (nuclear preferred) or equivalent technical environment Minimum of 5 years of direct design, development and deployment experience of power plants for complex, high reliability and harsh environment or similar facilities in the power process, marine industries Minimum of 3 years of experience in a program or technical leadership role Minimum of 3 years of experience working with customers, regulators and suppliers Experience in the construction of a nuclear power plant Working knowledge of ACI, ASCE, and AWS codes and standards NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Professional Engineer registration in one or more state or P.Eng in Ontario • MS or PhD in Civil Engineering • Proven ability to think strategically, be creative and move quickly • Strong team building skills • Process oriented with ability to facilitate continuous performance improvement • Open communication style and proven ability to develop team relationships • Working knowledge of BWR plants and specifically the BOP/TI/HVAC system side of the plant • Experience in the construction of a nuclear power plant • Knowledge of nuclear business products, business processes, and customers • Working knowledge of ACI, ASCE and AWS codes and Standards. • Experience with steel plate composite structures. *We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
