Your New Role As an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer , you will support a growing portfolio of commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, and renewal projects while contributing to an integrated designâbuild delivery model. This role is critical to delivering coordinated, efficient, and technically excellent project outcomes as the project pipeline continues to expand. You will join the Structural Engineering team and report to the Manager of Structural Engineering, working closely with architects, engineers, designers, builders, and project managers. The team is recognized for creative problemâsolving, strong technical depth, mentorship, and crossâdisciplinary collaboration from concept through completion. What Youâll Need to Succeed Project Delivery & Technical Leadership Design and oversee the design of complex building structural systems, including lateral and gravity load systems Coordinate design, drawings, and specifications with multiâdisciplinary project teams Develop and recommend improvements to design standards that reduce cost, improve quality, and support longâterm maintenance Field Reviews & Contract Administration Conduct field reviews and building condition assessments Support contract administration by responding to RFIs, site instructions, and change orders Understand, manage, and mitigate contractual and professional liability risks Leadership & Knowledge Sharing Mentor and coach EITs and Technologists Lead and coordinate disciplineâspecific Lunch & Learn sessions Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement Prepare technical reports, assessments, and design documentation Resolve and negotiate technical matters with authorities having jurisdiction Professional Qualifications Strong knowledge of the BC Building Code, National Building Code, and applicable regulations Expertise in wind, seismic, and gravity load design across various structural systems Experience designing with concrete, steel, and wood construction Proficiency with BIM/Revit workflows and structural analysis software (ETABS, SâFrame, SAFE, Sizer, or similar) 7â15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in North America Experience with institutional, retail, industrial, and commercial projects; renovation and building assessments are an asset Bachelorâs degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masterâs degree considered an asset) Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia If your experience doesnât match every requirement but you believe you can excel in this role, you are encouraged to apply.
