Structural Design Engineer

Role: Structural Design Engineer Location: Leicester Salary: £32,000 to £46,000 Ref: MAR161 We are currently recruiting a Structural Design Engineer on a permanent basis for an independently owned multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Leicester. Our client operates across several markets and offers full in-house design services to the commercial, leisure, manufacturing, and education sector. They are open to hybrid working arrangements and are committed to helping their staff progress their career in a professional and academic capacity.

The Structural Design Engineer Role Knowledge of design and analysis software like Tekla, StaadPro, and Tedds Prepare and check drawings, calculations, and risk assessments Focus will be on hands‑on design with a range of materials as well as assisting with client contact, site visits and managing your workload Communicate as part of a team and work well in a team and independent environment. You will be expected to forge relationships with clients, local authorities and other members of the design team and represent the company at meetings and site visits. The Ideal Candidate You will have graduated with BEng or MEng in structural Engineering and have at least 3 years' experience working as a Structural Engineer. 3 years+ experience in the buildings industry Approaching Chartership or chartered MICE or ISTUCTE Several years' experience working in a consulting engineering environment creating models.

Experience in the detailing of steel and concrete Experience in structural design of commercial/ Industrial /Education will be additional strength A passion for engineering excellence, and a desire to embrace new and innovative thinking.
