Job details: Job title: Strategic Sourcing Manager Duration:: 6 Months (CONTRACT) Location:: Atlanta, GA 30339 (ONSITE) Shift:: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday (8AM - 5:00PM) Brief about the role: This position is responsible for strategy development, execution, leading sourcing events, and negotiating best in class terms and conditions with suppliers according to company's approved processes to mitigate risk. The scope is for our Field Business Unit to join our team, which has over 3500 suppliers, over 140 branches and 1100 requisitioners. This role strategic mission is to maximize our catalog purchases, reduce our supplier base by both consolidating and leveraging strategic partners, and collaborates with the wider PSM (Procurement and Supply Management) team to execute supply chain strategies.
Essential Functions Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals to achieve departmental goals and foster a high-performing culture. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee the optimization of catalog processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations while driving user adoption of catalog tools. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement catalog improvements that enhance the end-user experience. Utilize expertise in Oracle and Jaggaer systems to streamline catalog management processes and data integrity.
Monitor and analyze catalog performance metrics, using insights to guide decision-making and drive improvements. Collaborate within PSM, Leadership, and various operational departments to advance the company's initiatives to meet company goals. Ensure that all sourcing activities, comply with company policies, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including import/export regulations and trade compliance.
Host monthly/quarterly meetings with internal stakeholders to solicit feedback, develop and implement action plans to improve team performance Identify supplier performance gaps and communicate these to PSM Leadership as appropriate. Participates in supplier performance management initiatives with other internal stakeholders. Leads/support Quarterly Business Reviews, develops, and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships and ensure business continuity.
Develop and drive opportunities to eliminate waste from the overall supply chain, with a continuous improvement mindset. Conduct benchmarking studies and gather market intelligence to stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and competitive pricing. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Skills Preferred: Expert understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement best practices, processes, procedures and strategies. Proven experience in catalog management, retail industry experience a plus. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution. Ability to work with ambiguous data and transform it into a clear story for analysis and decision-making.
Understand total spend, pricing structure, commercial terms, market influencers that impact materials or services, purchased finished products, and manufactured assemblies with a particular knowledge of market dynamics, cost drivers, and supply chain. Demonstrated negotiation skills including TCO approach. Experience with ERP systems, Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, eAuctions and contract management systems.
Skilled at change management; well-honed “radar” for stakeholder management Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, able to achieve results utilizing data and collaboration as key tools of influence. Exceptional persuasion and interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers, business leaders, and all other internal stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, VLookup, macros, charting/graphing).
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results. Required Experience: 10+ years of sourcing experience, specifically catalog management. 8+ years leading Procurement teams at a Managerial level. 5+ years in the OEM elevator industry or similar business Education Experience: Bachelor’s degree required: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. Experience instead of a degree will be considered.
Preferred: Masters in Business Administration Certifications: Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or PMP desired.
