Stores Assistant

Stores Person (Packing & Kitting) - Broughshane / Ballymena - 6 month contract

Department: Stores/Warehousing

Reports To: Stores Manager/Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Stores Person will be responsible for efficiently packing and kitting orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. This role requires attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Packing:
Accurately pack products according to order specifications and company standards.
Ensure that all items are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
Label packages correctly and prepare them for dispatch.

Kitting:
Assemble kits by gathering and organising components as per the kitting list.
Verify that all items in the kit are present and meet quality standards before packing.
Maintain an organised workspace to facilitate efficient kitting processes.

Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records.
Ensure that all materials and products are stored in the correct locations.

Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Report any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the store.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding order statuses and any issues that arise.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment would be advantage.
Familiarity with packing and kitting processes.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good English to include reading & writing.
Full training provided.

Working Hours:
Mon-Wed 7am-5pm
Thur 7am-5.15pm

Rate of Pay:
£12.85 = £13.46ph (depending on experience)
