Store Manager

Subdued is the brand that lives and breathes the teen lifestyle — and we’re bringing that energy to SoHo. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Store Manager to lead our NYC flagship store. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a team from the ground up, bring our brand to life in one of the most iconic retail locations, and create an unforgettable in-store experience.

The Role As Store Manager, you will own the success of our SoHo flagship — from team leadership and client experience to operations and performance. You’ll be the face of the brand in NYC, setting the tone for culture, energy, and execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-driven environment and is excited to be part of a growing international brand entering the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing store team Create a welcoming, energetic, and on-brand customer experience Drive store performance by achieving sales goals and KPIs (conversion, UPT, AUR) Recruit, onboard, and train team members in line with Subdued standards Manage scheduling, staffing, and payroll to support business needs Ensure strong operational execution, including inventory, stock flow, and visual merchandising Maintain brand standards across the sales floor and back of house Partner with HQ and leadership on store performance and initiatives Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture What We’re Looking For 3–5+ years of retail management experience (fashion preferred) Experience opening or managing a high-volume store is a strong plus Strong leadership and team development skills Passion for fashion and understanding of the Subdued brand aesthetic Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Hands‑on, proactive, and solution‑oriented mindset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Availability to work weekends and peak retail periods Why Join Subdued?
