Job Description Job Description Position: Store Manager Location: Chicago, IL Job Type: Full-time Compensation: Competitve annual pay with performance incentives Responsibilities As the Store Manager, you will: Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of enthusiastic staff, ensuring exceptional customer service that reflects Kilwins’ values. Confection Production: Craft Kilwins’ iconic treats, including gourmet caramel apples, hand-paddled fudge, hand-dipped chocolates, graham crackers, shortbread cookies, pretzel rods, and almond toffee. Training will be provided to ensure you master our signature recipes.
Operations Management: Oversee daily store operations, including inventory, scheduling, and ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing store. Sales Performance: Drive sales growth by meeting and exceeding revenue targets and implementing creative promotional strategies. Customer Experience: Create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests, addressing concerns and ensuring each visit is memorable.
Community Engagement: Foster relationships within the Evanston community through events, partnerships, and promotions to enhance Kilwins’ local presence. Compliance: Maintain adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience: 3-5 years of retail or food service management experience, ideally in a customer-facing role.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and guide a team toward shared goals. Culinary Interest: A passion for learning confection-making and creating delicious treats by hand. Customer Focus: Dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Sales Acumen: Success in meeting sales goals and executing promotional strategies. Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking and time management abilities. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, culinary arts, or hospitality is a plus.
