STORAGE ARCHITECT / SPECIALIST

We are looking for a Storage Architect / Specialist to join our consulting team in Calgary for a six-month contract.

This is an onsite position.

As a Chrome Technologies consultant, the candidate will work with our clients to deliver the projects entrusted to us.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current enterprise storage environment and recommend a scalable target architecture using Nasuni, Qumulo, and NetApp technologies.
• Design and implement storage, file services, caching, replication, and data protection solutions across on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Configure, integrate, and optimize storage platforms to improve performance, availability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Lead storage migrations, upgrades, and consolidation initiatives while minimizing operational disruption and data risk.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, capacity, latency, connectivity, and performance issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Produce architecture diagrams, implementation plans, operational documentation, and technical recommendations for infrastructure and business stakeholders.

We are looking for senior-level professionals with both architecture and hands-on implementation experience in enterprise storage environments:

Required Skills

• Strong expertise with:
  • Nasuni
  • Qumulo
  • NetApp (especially caching solutions)
• Proven ability to:
  • Design and implement scalable storage architectures
  • Optimize performance, availability, and cost-efficiency
  • Work in hybrid/on-prem enterprise environments
• Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have

• Experience supporting large enterprise or energy sector environments
• Familiarity with cloud-integrated storage strategies
• Previous oil & gas industry experience
• Experience with Energy and Utility
