Job DescriptionYour new company Our client is a leading multinational organisation with a significant global presence and a strong reputation for excellence in financial governance and compliance. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Statutory Accountant to join their Worldwide Statutory Accounting team. This team is responsible for statutory reporting, financial accounting and the provision of tax-related information across a diverse portfolio of international entities.

Your new role Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing statutory reporting and financial accounting requirements across a portfolio of European and Asia Pacific responsibilities will include: Preparation and review of statutory accounts for European and APAC entities. Planning and completion of statutory audits, including liaison with external auditors and accounting service providers. Review of monthly reporting under US GAAP, including balance sheet reconciliations, income statement review and variance analysis.

Full ownership of financial accounting requirements across assigned entities, including annual financial statement disclosures and tax return support. Completion and submission of government statistical returns. Partnering with the FP&A team to review and analyse financial results.

Working closely with Payroll teams on payroll reviews and associated compliance activities. Supporting internal control processes and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. Driving process improvements and maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will possess: A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). A minimum of 5 years' experience in a statutory accounting, financial reporting or similar role. Experience reporting under US GAAP within a multinational or global reporting environment.

Strong technical accounting knowledge across US GAAP, IFRS and Local GAAP, including statutory reporting and GAAP reconciliations. Experience supporting statutory audits and managing relationships with external auditors. Knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.

Strong systems experience, particularly Oracle and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent organisational and planning abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent business English; additional French language skills would be highly advantageous. The ability to work independently, take ownership of projects and deliver to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
