Who we are YNOS Venture Engine is Indiaβs data intelligence platform for the early-stage startup ecosystem. Founded by IIT Madras faculty and incubated at IIT Madras, we sit at the intersection of data, technology, and Indiaβs startup economy. Our long-term vision is to become Indiaβs supermarket for startups β the central platform through which any actor in the ecosystem can discover, engage with, and transact with the startup world, and are currently building the commercial engine that takes us there. The Opportunity As a Startup Sales Executive, you will: β Be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets for the startup segment β Own the entire sales journey for the startup segment β from the first interaction through conversion, renewal, and referral. β Manage all inbound and outbound leads generated through the community, webinars, and platform activity, and convert engaged founders into paying subscribers. β Have a βcustomer firstβ approach and ensure that internal collaboration is achieved to have satisfied clients. β Drive revenue with discipline by meeting targets, log every call, meeting, and follow-up on CRM. Ensure adherence in achieving the sales plan and participate in review with the reporting manager. β Represent YNOS in the Field: Relay market feedback to the BD Head and leadership in real time. What we are looking for β 3β6 years of B2C sales experience, with a track record of independently owning and closing deals. β Prior experience selling software, digital platforms, or data services is strongly preferred. β Experience selling to or working with entrepreneurs or the startup ecosystem is a significant advantage. β You have developed a sales philosophy β you know how you build relationships, how you read a room, and how you close without burning trust. β Strong communication skills β Disciplined with process: CRM hygiene, pipeline management, and follow-up β A graduate degree is mandatory. An MBA is a plus, not a requirement. β Well organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with excellent time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines This is a role for someone who understands the founder mindset, builds trust quickly, and finds genuine satisfaction in helping entrepreneurs take a step forward. Work Location & Job Type β Our office is located at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, surrounded by the beautiful IITM Campus! β Terms: This is a full-time position in our Chennai office β Compensation: βΉ6β12 LPA.
