About the Role PTC is a leading technology company that brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people. We’re recruiting an ambitious Startup Business Development Lead to join our PTC Startup team—a high-impact role that will recruit and enable high-potential startups to use PTC’s industry-leading software and expand our VC and incubators ecosystem. The person will help scale the PTC for Startups program across marketing, partnerships, operations, onboarding, and customer success.

Key Responsibilities Manage and track inbound requests and applications to the PTC startup program. Identify high-potential startups and ensure startups in our ecosystem are equipped to succeed. Oversee health monitoring, usage optimization, and expansion into other products.

Analyze internal and external data to improve operational efficiency and optimize program outcomes. Drive awareness and demand of PTC’s startup program from VCs, incubators, and startup founders. Coordinate and participate in virtual and in-person startup ecosystem events.

Refine and maintain communications around the startup program to relevant internal teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (engineering degree preferred). 3+ years of sales, business development, strategic partnerships, sales leadership, consulting, or program/product management experience. Experience working at a startup, investment firm, or startup program-focused role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with ambiguity and change. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering; mechanical engineering knowledge and/or experience.

A startup ecosystem builder who understands founders, accelerators, and VCs, ideally with a similar startup program as a VC, founder, or startup employee. Operational savviness, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously while focusing on execution and results. Demonstrated ability to work successfully cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior leadership on program objectives, goals, and metrics.

Self-starter mentality. Compensation & Benefits PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $115,000.

The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.

Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
