Location Ottawa and Toronto, CA - Hybrid Other Canadian locations - Remote About The Team The AI team is responsible for delivering machine learning solutions in the supply and demand space for verticals such as Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Life Sciences and more. It tackles forecasting, optimization, replenishment, recommendation, explainability, and more. The team operates at the intersection of technology and real business problems, contributing products that delight customers worldwide.

Role: Machine Learning Staff Developer Your work will directly impact our enterprise‑grade AI platform and solutions used by customers worldwide to manage their supply chains. What you will do All aspects of the machine learning software development life cycle are familiar to you. You are passionate about shipping large‑scale software systems in a fast‑paced environment, while balancing long‑term issues such as maintainability, scalability and quality.

You’re fluent in Python object‑oriented development and cloud technologies, and have hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and big‑data technologies. You define, drive, design, and build/ship end‑to‑end solutions that solve real customer problems, build automated ML‑based orchestration, produce architectural design, design documentation, test planning and execution. You contribute to the AI/ML software development lifecycle, ensuring reproducible research and state‑of‑the‑art results.

You lead the work of junior developers, mentor, and foster shared ownership across the code base. You proactively engage other teams to unblock work and progress your own assignments. What we are looking for Cloud and Managed Services Engineering: Proven expertise in designing, provisioning, deploying, and operating large‑scale systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (managed via Argo CD, Helm, or similar), Terraform, and distributed systems. Agentic & Modern AI Frameworks: Practical experience building solutions using agentic AI patterns, RAG, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, Google ADK, or OpenAI Agent SDK, including prompt engineering and context engineering for production of agentic workflows. End‑to‑End ML/AI Software Development: Extensive experience developing robust ML‑driven systems with Python and modern data tooling.

Skilled in debugging, optimizing, testing, and delivering production‑quality software. Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to guide architecture, mentor developers, and drive high‑quality engineering decisions across teams. Technical Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Operate as a technical advisor to managers and leaders. AI‑Driven Software Development: Experience leveraging autonomous agents such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other tools to accelerate delivery of new features and issue resolution. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience: 5‑7 years in software engineering, machine learning, or related fields. Nice to Have Domain Knowledge: Experience with supply‑chain or manufacturing systems. Strong CS Foundations: Solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, linear algebra, probability, and optimization.

Workflow Orchestration: Experience with tools such as Argo Workflows or similar.
