Job summary
We are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the haemodialysis service as a Band 5 staff nurse. We are looking for experienced nurses with a minimum of one-year post qualifying experience in a clinical environment. Further experience in dialysis is desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job
The aim of this post is to develop renal nurses within the clinical area. The post holder will provide direct care to renal patients under the supervision of senior colleagues whilst acquiring and developing the specialist skills and knowledge to meet the needs of this patient group. Need to work flexible hours to meet service need.
Shift rotation between days and nights.

- Registered Nurse or equivalent with live NMC registration
Experience

- Recent acute experience as a qualified nurse
- Personal and people development
- Understanding of own Knowledge and Skills and ability to identify learning needs and interests of nursing team
- Communication-Ability to work as part of a multi- disciplinary team and provide leadership to the team
- Ability to support others in maintaining health, safety and security
- Ability to identify and assess the potential risks involved in work activities and processes for self and others
Desirable
- Demonstrable haemodialysis experience
Knowledge
Essential
- Able to recognise own limits and work within those limits of competence
- Is aware of how to identify and reduce risks with regards to health and wellbeing
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm towards teaching and sharing knowledge
