Staff Nurse (OT) (ID:673170)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and high-quality perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to clinical standards.
• Prepare and ensure the readiness of operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and the surgical team during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sharps, and swabs in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection.
• Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
• Ensure proper handling, labelling, and dispatch of surgical specimens.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery nurses, ward nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely perioperative documentation and patient records.
• Maintain theatre equipment, instruments, and stock levels to ensure operational readiness.
• Participate in quality improvement, audits, training, and continuing education.
• Support the orientation, training, and mentorship of junior nurses and new staff.
• Comply with hospital policies, patient safety, infection control, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with Full Registration.
• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Relevant nursing experience in Operating Theatre (OT) is preferred.
