The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Day Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality, safe, effective, person‑centred care.
You must demonstrate a commitment to patient‑centred care, continuing professional development, a good understanding of our service, and the specific needs of our patients (or a commitment to learn these skills). Flexibility and the willingness to participate in service progression and growth are essential. Working effectively in a team is mandatory.
This post requires PVG scheme membership / Disclosure Scotland check as part of NHSGGC pre‑employment checking for all appointed candidates. You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern Location: Gartnavel General Hospital Contract: Permanent Position: Full‑time (36 hours per week) Shift pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Key Responsibilities Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients.
Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives/carers and other members of the MDT to ensure appropriate information is shared and patient needs are met. Organise own workload to meet the interests of patients/clients. Maintain patient records within agreed standards.
Develop the role using evidence‑based practice and continuously improve personal knowledge. Participate in clinical audit as required. Adhere to organisational infection control policies and procedures and act as a role model in maintaining a safe environment.
