Staff Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Engineer to drive our technical vision and architecture. In this role, you will solve complex, ambiguous problems, deliver both high-level blueprints and hands-on code, and raise the engineering bar across multiple organizations. This is a consulting job and the client is one of the major insurance companies in North America. Key Responsibilities Architecture: Own end-to-end architecture for large-scale distributed systems across multiple teams and orgs. Standards: Set and enforce company-wide technical standards, engineering practices, and methodologies. Problem Solving: Translate complex, ambiguous business problems into concrete technical solutions. Execution: Deliver both hands-on technical work (code, design docs) and high-level architectural blueprints. Mentorship: Mentor and elevate senior engineers, raising the technical bar across the organization. Requirements Extensive experience operating at a Staff or Principal Software Engineer level.

Proven track record designing and scaling large-scale distributed architectures. Strong ability to balance high-level system design with hands-on coding and documentation. Exceptional influence and mentorship skills to guide senior engineering talent.
