Staff Algorithm Engineer / Data Scientist
San Diego, CA
Qualifications
Masters degree and 8 years of experience required. PhD degree preferred.
Scientific or Engineering discipline required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in signal processing, time series data analysis and algorithm development, preferably in a medical device setting
Experience with advanced data analysis tools and methods; demonstrated understanding of statistics and statistical analysis of data
Must be capable of supporting projects independently without supervision
Experience with advanced computing languages such as Python, R, or Matlab
Experience with machine learning and data mining methods
Ability to interface with both clinicians and R&D team and work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
Capacity to manage multiple projects and communicate ideas clearly to the team; excellent written and verbal communication skills
