Then keep reading⌠In this role you will influence water chemistry and treatment, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global fleet of data centers, including onâsite and large campus water systems. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the various water treatment features that our facilities require, using both prescriptive and performanceâbased design approaches. As an Owner, you will ensure the water treatment features of our buildings protect our people and keep our customersâ data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building.
You will contribute your expertise to continuously improve our water system design standards. Key Responsibilities Driving improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization. Work with thirdâparty design vendors to review concept designs and designs in progress to ensure they meet established design standards, local code requirements, and any other requirements of the authorities having jurisdiction.
Provide high quality water treatment advice on a wide variety of projects globally while working with global mechanical engineering teams to align water treatment system objectives. Coâordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries. Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and assessment, testing, inspections, and submittal review.
Meet with authorities having jurisdiction as needed to obtain approval of water treatment features. This position will require up to 25% travel. Basic Qualifications 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in missionâcritical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in missionâcritical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering or Architectural License Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents Experience with water treatment design for industrial water, domestic water, and wastewater EEO Statement Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
