ABOUT THE ROLE As a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst, you will play an integral part in executing Pelotonâs customs policies and procedures, with a primary focus on compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations. Reporting to Pelotonâs Senior Manager, Trade Compliance, you will oversee the customs brokers of Pelotonâs whollyâowned subsidiary Precor Inc., ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payments of import tariffs, and generally maintain and strengthen Precorâs âreasonable careâ controls.
The ideal candidate is a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) who challenges themselves continuously to improve Precorâs global trade compliance program, partnering crossâfunctionally with a variety of stakeholders (external service providers, sourcing, purchasing, transportation, product, legal and finance). YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON Oversee, measure and audit the accuracy and timeliness of Precorâs customs brokers in the U.S. and Canada, with occasional support to Precorâs EMEA and APAC markets. Conduct regular audits of Precorâs import data and duty payments, utilizing CBPâs ACE and CBSAâs CARM portals.
Assign global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications for Precorâs new SKUs and product lines. Inform Precorâs global sourcing strategies for new manufacturing and distributing locations. Assist in the development and execution of Precorâs value reconciliation and duty drawback programs.
Maintain timely and complete customs recordâkeeping for Precorâs global imports and exports. Conduct deniedâparty screening (DPS) in Precorâs Global Trade Management (GTM) tool. Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of Precorâs global trade compliance SOPs and policies.
Proactively monitor and raise new trade compliance policy developments that have the potential to impact the business. YOU BRING TO PELOTON Bachelorâs degree and 6+ years of relevant experience working for an importer, customs broker and/or trade consultancy. Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations (including recent U.S. tariffâstacking rules), the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and CBPâs value reconciliation and duty drawback programs.
Customs Broker License (LCB) is strongly preferred. Experience with SAP and Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE GTM is a plus. Problemâsolving skills with a proactive mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work crossâfunctionally across a variety of stakeholders to influence outcomes. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
