As an Engineering Manager within the Engagement Growth organization, you will lead one of three teams that build experiences designed to keep viewers active with Twitch. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to develop and scale systems serving millions of daily users. The role offers flexibility to work from San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY.

Responsibilities Build systems that connect viewers and creators across the Twitch ecosystem. Design and run consumer‑scale services powering VODs, Clips, and Stories for millions of users. Enable and scale AWS applications.

Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to prioritize features. Mentor and develop a team of 10 engineers through structured development planning and talent management. Set long‑term roadmap and direction for the engineering team.

Basic Qualifications 3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of engineering experience 8+ years leading definition and development of multi‑tier web services 3+ years software engineering experience 1+ year providing technical leadership and project management across the SDLC Experience developing large‑scale distributed systems using Java, C#, or C++ Experience with service‑oriented and distributed architectures Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field Knowledge of engineering practices, coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and site operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams 5+ years working in software engineering Proficiency in at least one general‑purpose language (Golang, Python, C/C++, Java) Design and architecture of new and existing systems Ability to identify user needs and deliver customer‑centric solutions Experience running large‑scale consumer services Preferred Qualifications Communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe product features Recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineering teams Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem Experience utilizing Agile methodologies Full‑stack or front‑end development experience Deep knowledge of Golang Familiarity with Twitch as a viewer or creator Twitch is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
