Job Description
Title Software Developer - (Python /Java) Location McLean, VA (5 days - Onsite). Local to Virginia or nearby are open. Experience 5 Years Eligibility No VISA restrictions but need local candidate with banking and finance experience.
Must Have 2+ years of experience with OOP design and coding, hands-on development with Python (Java is preferred) – mostly backend work. Experience working with libraries Pandas, Numpy, SQL Alchemy. Background in fixed income finance, financial accounting, and capital markets (banking or mortgage).
SQL using multiple leading database solutions, Agile development process. BA in Computer Science or related field. Strong critical thinker and problem solver.
Nice To Have Java Interviews First round – 30 minutes virtual; small panel. Second round – 60 minutes onsite; mostly technical (hands‑on coding) with small panel. Responsibilities Design, develop, test and support financial engineering applications and services.
Involve in fixing defects and addressing technical debt to ensure best software development practices are met. Write clean, robust, high‑quality code following best practices and backed by automated unit and integration tests with full coverage. Coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.
Assist with infrastructure upgrades and adoption of new technologies. Commit to collaborative problem‑solving, sophisticated design, and quality product. #J-18808-Ljbffr
