About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Freight Broker to manage freight from start to finish within a US domestic brokerage. This is a full-desk role: you will own the entire process for your shipments, finding customers, quoting and booking freight, sourcing and negotiating with carriers, and coordinating each load through to delivery.

This is a hands-on, individual role focused on building your own book of business and moving freight reliably. Customer accounts will not be assigned to you, and leads will not be provided. This is not a dispatch-only role, and it is not a management role.

The position is fully remote and works on a US Central Time schedule to stay aligned with US shippers and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new shipper business through consistent outreach, prospecting, and relationship building.
• Manage each shipment from first quote through final delivery, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience for the customer.
• Source available trucks, negotiate rates, and book carriers using online load boards and your own network.
• Confirm that every carrier is properly licensed, insured, and dependable before assigning a load.
• Keep shippers updated throughout transit and resolve any issues that come up along the way.
• Build long-term relationships with both shippers and carriers to generate repeat business.
• Keep shipment records accurate and up to date in company systems.

We're Looking for Someone Who

• Has solid experience brokering freight in the US market.
• Is a self-starter who can build a book of business without company-provided leads.
• Communicates clearly and confidently on calls with US shippers and carriers.
• Is comfortable owning the full process alone, from finding the customer to confirming delivery.
• Can work a US Central Time schedule from a home office and stay reliably available during those hours.
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and dependable under pressure.

Minimum Requirements

• 4+ years of freight brokerage experience in the US market, covering full truckload and less-than-truckload freight.
• Proven experience managing shipments through the full cycle, from booking to delivery.
• Experience sourcing and booking carriers through online load boards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop shipper relationships and generate business independently.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• A reliable home office setup with stable internet and a dependable phone connection.
• Availability to work full-time on a US Central Time schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• An existing network of US shippers and/or carriers.
• Experience using transportation management software.
• A track record of working remotely while consistently meeting goals.
