About the Role Senior Engineering Manager â Digital Experiences. Lead IPSYâs fastâpaced, customerâcentric Digital Experiences team powering the personalized subscription experience for our 2M+ members across IPSY Original, Extra, and Ultimate. What Youâll Be Doing Lead Engineering Teams: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers and firstâline engineering managers, helping them grow technical expertise, career paths, and delivery capabilities.
Drive Technical Vision & Architecture: Partner with product and design teams to define and execute on the technical vision for our web and mobile platforms. Be deeply involved in system architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, futureâproof, and aligned with business goals. Ensure Engineering Excellence: Oversee delivery of highâquality, scalable, and reliable software that aligns with business goals.
Guide your team through complex technical challenges and prioritize highâimpact projects. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to engineering processes, including code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release management to ensure efficiency and high product standards. Crossâfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to drive product initiatives forward while managing tradeâoffs between speed, quality, and cost.
Mentor and Coach: Develop the next generation of engineering leaders within your team through coaching, feedback, and creating growth opportunities. What We Are Looking For 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an engineering management role, including managing engineering managers and scaling multiâteam organizations in fastâpaced, productâdriven environments. Deep understanding of scalable systems, API design, cloud infrastructure, and performance optimization.
Strong people management skills, with a proven track record of mentoring engineers and engineering managers at various levels. Experience fostering a positive, inclusive, and highâperformance engineering culture. Product mindset: Strong understanding of how technology impacts user experience and business outcomes, and ability to balance engineering needs with business goals.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nonâtechnical stakeholders and provide clear updates on project progress. Experience collaborating with crossâfunctional teams such as product, design, marketing, data, and QA to drive impactful initiatives. Ability to think strategically and critically to address technical and business challenges while maintaining a handsâon approach when necessary.
Experience with eâcommerce, subscription services, or beautyâtech industries. Expertise in guiding both frontend and backend architecture in a microservices environment. Experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android).
Familiarity with dataâdriven decisionâmaking and A/B testing. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Familiarity with CMS tools such as Contentful/ContentStack.
Familiarity with modern cloud platforms like Netlify, Vercel. Masterâs Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
