Sr. Engineer – Process Engineering

Job Description Job Title: Process Engineer – SMT / Electronics Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with expertise in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and PCB assembly processes. The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize SMT manufacturing processes.

Create and maintain programs for: SMT Printer (solder paste printing) Pick and Place machines Reflow oven profiling AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) systems Selective soldering machines Set up and optimize wave soldering processes. Manage and improve conformal coating processes. Operate and maintain PCB cleaning machines to ensure product reliability.

Perform reflow profiling to ensure optimal solder joint quality. Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions. Conduct BGA rework and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Analyze defects, yield data, and process performance to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with IPC standards and company quality requirements.

Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and reports. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field. Hands-on experience with: SMT programming (Printer, Pick & Place) Reflow profiling AOI programming Selective soldering Wave soldering Conformal coating PCB cleaning systems BGA rework Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and defect analysis.

Experience with process optimization and yield improvement. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610). Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
