Sr Business Analyst

Role Title: Sr Business Analyst Position Summary: The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise business applications. This position is the second of four levels within the Business Analysis job family. Job Responsibilities: Participates in system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide business applications.

Solicits business requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures. Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover business requirements, such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, and workflow analysis. Documents the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates and tools.

Makes recommendations regarding necessary changes on deliverables expected from other groups. Works with other development groups to ensure an integrated business solution. Assumes the responsibility of project manager for projects that are limited in scope and are, generally, modifications to an existing application.

Demonstrates a clear understanding of FM Globals business and business processes. Skill and Experience: 3-5 years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions. Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 4+ years of general business analysis experience TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE | Strong knowledge of techniques and tools utilized in functional design, data analysis, and data flow diagramming. | Knowledge of FM Global's current/planned technological environment and the appropriate technologies, tools, and techniques used to solve business problems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS | Experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes. | Proven ability to work in technical environments that use tools involved in data flow diagramming, data analysis, issue tracking, and documentation and presentation. SOFT SKILLS | Proven ability to multi-task and establish priorities. | Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and organizational skills. Must Have Skills: Business Requirements Translation to Power BI & Power Automate - Ability to elicit, document, and translate business questions into clear reporting requirements, KPIs, and analytical use cases that can be implemented in Power BI.

Strong Understanding of Power BI Semantic Models - Working knowledge of datasets, measures, relationships, and filters to effectively partner with Power BI developers and validate analytical logic. Data Interpretation and Insight Generation - Ability to analyze report outputs, identify trends, anomalies, and drivers, and articulate insights in business language, not technical terms. KPI Definition and Metrics Governance - Experience defining standardized KPIs, success metrics, and calculation logic, ensuring consistency across reports and business units.

Stakeholder Communication and Storytelling with Data - Skill in presenting Power BI insights to leaders and operational teams, using clear narratives, visual context, and actionable recommendations. Understanding of Data Sources and Data Quality - Ability to assess source system data, identify data quality issues, and work with data owners to resolve gaps that impact reporting accuracy. Report Validation and User Acceptance Testing - Experience validating Power BI reports against requirements, performing UAT, and ensuring outputs align with business expectations prior to release.

Power BI Service and Workspace Awareness - Familiarity with Power BI Service concepts such as workspaces, apps, subscriptions, and access models to support effective report rollout and adoption. Collaboration with Data and Reporting Teams - Proven ability to partner with Power BI developers, data engineers, and reporting CoEs to prioritize work, clarify requirements, and resolve issues. Reporting Standards and Best Practices - Awareness of enterprise Power BI standards, style guides, and governance practices to ensure reports are consistent, reusable, and scalable.

Data Modeling SQL Education and Certifications: Bachelor degree required. MBA preferred. Work location: Bengaluru
