Specialist SEN Tutor - SLD, Autism (ASC) & ADHD | 30-35per Hour
Location: SS2, Essex
Pay: 30.00-35.00 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience and qualifications, plus 3 additional paid hours per week for planning, preparation, resource creation and assessment, equating to 36-42 per hour.
Hours: 3 hours per day, Monday-Friday
Contract: Long-Term Start: September 2026 (Meet & Greet during the summer holidays)

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting an experienced Specialist SEN Tutor to support a young person with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASC), ADHD, who is non-verbal and has social and communication difficulties.
Working alongside two experienced Support Workers as part of a 3:1 support team, you'll deliver engaging, personalised sessions that develop communication, emotional regulation and independence.
You'll be responsible for planning and delivering a creative, diverse curriculum tailored to the learner's EHCP outcomes, incorporating approaches such as sensory play, Social Stories, Zones of Regulation, Now & Next, structured games and life skills. Sessions can also make use of the private garden and outdoor gym to encourage engagement, movement and practical learning.
About You

Hold a minimum Level 5 qualification in Education and Training (or equivalent).

Experience supporting learners with SLD, Autism (ASC), ADHD and non-verbal communication.

Confident managing behaviours that challenge using positive behaviour support, de-escalation and re-engagement strategies.

Calm, patient and passionate about improving outcomes for young people with complex SEND.
What We Offer
